The Weapons of Our Warfare by Patrick A. Bucksot is a wonderful scriptural dissertation of the weapons Christians have been given by God to carry out the spiritual warfare in which we spend our every hour. I have to confess this is not what I thought the book was going to be about. I selected this book to review because at my Church we are going to be doing Ephesians chapter 6 next Sunday. I mistakenly interpreted the title to be a reference to the spiritual armor of God which is the subject of that chapter. However, what I found instead was a superb extension of what we should be doing once we’ve donned that spiritual armor. Armor is primarily defensive. Weapons are offensive. Both must be properly used to win a battle. Patrick Bucksot has distilled the essence of God’s arsenal for us to better understand how we are to face - and defeat - the enemy and his many temptations.
The Weapons of Our Warfare is, truly, a reference book that has a place on the bookshelf of every Christian. Nothing in this book cannot also be found in the Bible, but Mr. Bucksot has sought out each and every weapon available to us, and discoursed upon them within the pages of this book. In many ways, one could consider this book a Bible Study. Indeed, it would serve quite well as a Bible Study text, in which each chapter of the book would be the topic of prayer, study, and discussion in successive weeks. Mr. Bucksot has faithfully followed the leading of the Holy Spirit to produce this work. I most adamantly suggest it should belong in the library of every Christian.

Exceptional Book on Spiritual Weapons, February 12, 2014
By George Duncan
This review is from: The Weapons of Our Warfare (Kindle Edition):
This is one of the finest books on not just the spiritual weapons of our warfare with the enemy, but on Christianity also. This is a short but very profound book. Profound, of course, doesn't mean difficult... or complex. Jesus was very profound in his sayings but none of them were difficult. Chapters include "The Word of God," The Name of Jesus," "Faith,' Love,' Forgiveness," Prayer." etc and the author provides refreshing insight into each of the subjects. He reminds us of vital spiritual truths in a new way. The book is very readable and the reader is nodding at almost every page. A splendid book. Every
Christian should read it.

I could tell this book was written out of personal experience. It was not just re-hashed information on the armor of God. No, not only was it personalized, it doesn’t even focus on the armor from Ephesians 5.
I found it to be easy to read and uncomplicated. It stayed on topic and there was not a lot of extra “fluff”, which I sometimes abhor. Contained within is plenty of fodder for prayer and challenging questions to get you thinking. No lack of scriptures to backup what he’s talking about either. Every now and then there is an interesting twist on how to look at the particular weapon being discussed shedding light on a new perspective. Lots of good stuff in here.
If you are a Christian experiencing warfare from the enemy (and who isn’t?) you will benefit from reading this book.

The Weapons of our Warfare: God’s Arsenal for Victorious Living
By Patrick Bucksot
There are so many good Christian books available today that the problem is not in deciding which one(s) to purchase but which one to read first. I have several books on my shelves that are on my reading plan but which I have not gotten to
yet. If that describes your reading list, let me encourage you to move The Weapons of our Warfare by Patrick Bucksot to the head of your list. I purchased the book a week ago and felt compelled to read it through without delay. I have been highly
blessed. I may be speaking only about myself when I say that I previously thought the spiritual weapons of warfare to be those listed in Ephesians 6:10-20. In my minds eye, the warrior of God dressed in armor (of God) was ready to do battle – and so he or she is. But as every soldier in today’s military service can attest, the weapons carried by the individual are not the only ones available in the armory to help our fighting forces achieve victory. In addition to Ephesians 6, we also have the fruits of the Spirit listed in Galatians 5:22-23 to support us in our fight against spiritual darkness. I have to confess that before reading Patrick’s insightful explanation, I had not considered the fruits of the Spirit to be weapons. But the reader will
find they are worthy to be used in our warfare against Satan. In addition to these, the author asks us to consider: the Word of God, the name of Jesus, obedience, faith, forgiveness, prayer, fasting, praise, worship, testimony, unity and several other attributes as weapons. As I read the short and meaty chapters I began to see a relationship to the character of Jesus Christ. The better we understand the weapons of our warfare and how we can use them daily, the more Christlike we will become.
Patrick’s first literary offering will draw the reader into a clearer understanding of what it means to live the Christian life, ready and prepared to do battle against the strongholds of Satan that are arrayed against us. To enter the fray with weak spots in our armor is to invite defeat. There are enough wounded Christians today who are simply marking time, afraid of the shadowy darkness. This book from Tate Publishing will help give you the spiritual confidence you need to march out to the battlefield with an attitude of victory. As Christians, we must not shy away from the fight. The victory has already been won. The Weapons of our Warfare by Patrick Bucksot is enlightening, inspirational and worthy to added to your personal
library.
