Do You Know Jesus?
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. John 3:16-17
Since the fall of Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden we have been in a displaced relationship with God. We were created to dwell in fellowship with Him, but our sins placed a barrier between us and God. Man has attempted to bridge that gap through many forms of
religion and good works, but the fact remains that we cannot build a bridge over this gulf created by Adam and Eve. In God’s infinite love and mercy, He sent His only Son, Jesus, to pay the penalty of sin and forever bridge this gap. It is through His love that sin is forgiven. The only thing that we can do is repent of our sins and ask God to forgive us through the sacrifice of Jesus. Romans 10:9-10 says, that if we confess with our mouth, the Lord Jesus, and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we shall be saved. For with the heart, man believes, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. You may be thinking that you have done too much wrong to be worthy of God’s grace. The point is—God loves you!
You are worthy of salvation because Jesus already paid the price for your sins. You can’t do anything more or less to make God love you any more than He already does. He desires to have an intimate relationship with you because you matter to Him!
Please pray this prayer with me: Jesus I love you and I know I am a sinner. I have sinned against you and I am sorry. I believe in you and want you in my life right now. Change my life and take away anything unholy. Help me through each day and to seek you in everything. Teach me to pray, give me the desire to read the Bible and place me into a church. I can't do it myself; only with you can I make it. Help me,
